Nicola Cairncross says: Having been 100% responsible for the online brand management and marketing of Esoteric Records, ArtistManager, The Acacia Hotel and then The Money Gym from 1995 to 2010, I found myself at a bit of a loose end after that and I spent a year wondering what to do next. Luckily, I had enough passive income streams and internet marketing mentoring clients, so I decided to take my time deciding and write my next book in the meantime (due out mid February 2012).

I found a HUGE marketing need out in the local business community, I also found that many of the local businesses I came into contact with either don’t have a marketing plan, some don’t have a budget for marketing at all so need to learn to do it themselves, or while they may understand the need for world class internet marketing but really just want – or can only afford – a website to start with. But they are all on Facebook (even if only to look at family pics) and many are now joining Twitter and Google +.
